East Anglian Air Ambulance

East Anglian Air Ambulance is a lifesaving charity.  We serve a 5,000 square mile region with many remote locations, but our helicopter ambulances can reach patients anywhere in this radius within 25 minutes, and airlift them to the most appropriate hospital if necessary. The range of time-critical procedures performed by our highly skilled doctor/paramedic crews at the scene means they offer a standard of emergency care usually only found in hospital. It is the combination of advanced medical care at the incident site and rapid onward transfer to hospital which can be vital in saving lives and improving patients’ prospects of making a full recovery.

Racing Welfare

Racing Welfare is the only charity supporting all stud, stable and support staff of British Racing; from recruitment to retirement.

A career in racing can be exciting, and exhilarating but the staff involved work hard in all weathers. Caring for horses requires a huge degree of commitment and is often very physically demanding. Therefore, incidents of illness, injury or disability have a major impact on working life. Also, as with any other industry, a percentage of our workforce will also face personal problems and mental health issues and it is important that adequate support is available at these times.

Through a national network of Welfare Officers, Racing Welfare provides appropriate advice, guidance and support to all those employed, or formerly employed, in the British Racing industry, together with their families. Furthermore, by means of our award winning helpline Racing’s Support Line, this support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through telephone, text and online chat.
